The Professional Beauty Association Announces NAHA 20 Winners
Las Vegas, NV (July 21, 2009) – The Professional Beauty Association (PBA), proud presenter of theNorth American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), the most prestigious hairstyling competition in North America, announces the winners of NAHA 20. Recognized Sunday, July 19, 2009, at a star-studded Awards Ceremony attended by a record number of over 2,000 guests at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, these extraordinary stylists showcase the talent and creativity of the professional beauty industry in North America.

Awards Ceremony. Celebrating 20 years of artistry, guests experienced the exhilaration of the most prestigious hairstyling competition in North America as they were taken on a journey through two decades of honoring the dedication and skill of the artists who have inspired this industry. The NAHA 20 Awards Ceremony also welcomed NAHA 19 winners Nicholas French and Maureen Anlauf back to the stage to inspire and tantalize attendees with special artistic presentations. This explosive evening of star-studded entertainment also featured DJ Roonie G, West Beat Choir and the Flying Ace All-Stars. This year’s honorees included Geno Stampora, Hall of Leaders inductee, andVivienne Mackinder, Lifetime Achievement winner, added to the excitement of the event. Plus,Nancy O’Dell, co-Anchor of Access Hollywood, was presented the inaugural PBA Beautiful Humanitarian Award for her continued support to raise both awareness and funds for charities such as March of Dimes, Child Help, Best Buddies and American Red Cross.
Judging. A select panel of more than 60 industry judges, including Mary Brunetti, Andrew Bartfield, Sally Hershberger, Anthony Morrison and Tabatha Coffey, as well as top beauty editors from media outlets such as Nylon, Glamour, OK! Magazine, Teen Vogue, Life & Style and Zink, judged more than 600 entries through a blind online judging process. Entries were narrowed down to five finalists per category and one winner in each category was chosen.
NAHA 2010. NAHA sets the standard for stylist achievement. A list of past winners serves as a ‘who’s who’ of influential beauty makers in North America. Are you ready to see yourself at NAHA 2010?
