As Hair Colourists we use descriptive words and pictures every day – or do we?

Do you think as a colorist it matters?  Can the use of Words build and enhance your color business?

Its time to add excitement to your clients hair!  Say good bye to a ‘nice brown’  and hello to ‘Brazilian bohemian brunette glamor’.  Give en a bit more sizzle and spice to your clients and watch the excitement and growth with in your salon.

Would you like a nice pretty brown today Mrs jones? Mrs Jones raises an uninterested eyebrow at me, before she could answer me I said……………. would you like Woodland Evocative Seductive Chocolate tones today?  Of course she wants the Woodland Evocative Seductive Chocolate over that old outdated over used nice pretty brown!

When offering your professional color advice its so important to wrap it in words that sound seductive, unusual, unique and totally exciting.

Try looking at your Hair Color charts and create your very own personal cocktail mix of designer colors!  Name them, teach your team and SELL THEM to you clients they will love it and love you!

Examples (Revlon Professional Colour Range)

Walnut Creme Breulea 8.23 & 8

Spanish Midnight Mystery 1 & 2.10

Rustic Romantic 6.46 & 7.3

Idillic indian Amber 7.3 & 6.64

These words sound exciting and intriguing, just what your clients want their hair to be.

You will notice color product companies do this for you from time to time but you can design and do it yourself.

Its easy grab a paint chart from your local hardware or paint store. The charts have some inspirational names of colors, cooking books, travel destinations, environment, or even the internet is a good place to start for free.

Your clients will love your new designer color pallets that you the color specialist designed just for them!
