é SALON, based in Sydney, Australia has secured an ASTOUNDING 3 Finalist nominations in the international AIPP Grand Trophy Awards, which celebrate the best hair fashion collections from around the world, as chosen by a jury of publishers associated with the AIPP (International Professional Hairdressing Magazines Association).

With the awards receiving 209 collections from salons in 21 countries around the world for the 2009 Awards, é SALON is the only salon worldwide to have secured 3 finalist nods in the prestigious industry awards, which has definitely cemented their position as an industry leader, both locally and internationally.

“I cannot explain the feeling – I was a little in shock when I heard the news,” said Emiliano Vitale, Creative Director of é SALON. “I am really excited and I am just totally blown away at what we, as a salon team, have achieved over the past two and half years. I have loved this journey so much.”

é SALON’s nominations pit them against the best in the business, including British & Australian Hairdresser of the Year winners. They include:

• Best Photography Award – Emiliano Vitale (for the collection composed of the best pictures from the point of view of variety and attention to detail)

• Best Men’s Collection – Marc Mendicino (in recognition of the marked increase in interest in men’s hair fashion)

• Best Video - é SALON Artistic Team (a video/clip no longer than 3 minutes promoting a hairdresser/hair fashion collection)

  
  

The AIPP Grand Trophy Awards were established in 1997, with the intention of the Grand Trophy Award being to recognize outstanding achievements by professional hairdressers in photography and presentation of their work.

A panel of hairdressing magazine editors, world-class hairdressers, and fashion photographers judges all AIPP entries with winners being announced in Paris on Sunday 13^th September 2009.
