A collection that speaks volumes about a woman’s individual sense of style and adornment. Posed on a set light box, each model enjoys her own Luminosity and Sensuality from her hair to her wondrous shoes. I have sought to capture the Essence of Hair Fashion across this Eclectic Collection framed by iconic tresses a la Farah Fawcett through windswept lengths to the modernity of a Sassoon-like bob with contrasting hair veil Six images which encompass the hair of our time.
Classic noir draws from the German Film Noir genre of the 1920s and its influence in art and fashion in the years since.
“Femme fatales from films of the 1920s and onwards always seem to have strong, distinctive and devastatingly beautiful looks. We used light and style to recreate their high drama in true subtle but sexy context of past eras.”
The collection is called “Birds of a Feather” and was inspired by a pastel pink ‘feather’ jacket from the recent Chanel collection for Spring/Summer. The tonality, lightness, dimension and movement of the feathers on the jacket have influenced both the silhouettes and the very strong colour story within this photographic collection. There is a blurring of strength and softness within each look – structure within the shapes and softness from the muted pastel tones that unite the different looks.

Who do you think will take out each category?
I have been in the hairdressing industry for over 17 years, and I’m slowly learning the process it takes to create a collection.
My first collections were always a mash of ideas. Then I would find girls who I thought were pretty enough, and try to bring it all together in front of the camera.
This year I have taken a slightly different approach,a more disciplined approach…
