AMERICAN CREW RELEASES 2010 INFORMANT COLLECTION
American Crew, the leading manufacturer of professional salon products for men, has released its new hair collection, Informant, which promises to push the boundaries of men’s grooming.
The ground-breaking 2010 education collection forecasts styles influenced by a combination of eras including the tapered looks from the classic fifties and untamed looks of the eighties. Unlike the styles of these past eras, the Informant collection offers refined styles that make a bold statement.
American Crew Creative Director, Craig Hanson feels the Informant Collection is a terrific tribute to a generation of men’s grooming that is continually influenced by styles of the past.
“With Informant, I think we were able to create a strong statement with a completely fresh silhouette. It’s as if you photoshopped Tom Bailey from the Thompson Twins onto Don Draper from Mad Men and it works!” he says.
Comprising three progressive short hair styles, the Informant collection includes the Otto, Sexton and Roy, each with unique features that make them adaptable to men with all sorts of hair textures.
OTTO
The refined Otto look features cropped styling and blunt cuts for maximum precision. The sharp hairlines and exposed scalp add structure while the box-top parting gives a tailored, preppy look.
American Crew Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner help calm the hair prior to cutting, while Tea Tree Light Hold Cream and Molding Clay give the style with natural shine and pliable hold.
SEXTON
Drama and elegance combine in the Sexton. A flat box-top cut contrasts the full-bodied sides, making for a striking profile silhouette. Tapered sideburns add a clean finish for a touch of fifties elegance, while the unique fanning of the front gives the style a bold touch.
For a detailed finish, American Crew Lubricating Shave Oil will keep the razored neckline smooth, while American Crew Medium Hold Spray Gel and Defining Paste will give the look its added texture.
ROY
Perhaps the most sophisticated look of the collection is the Roy. The flat-top cut and mixed hair lengths give it a youthful yet masculine appearance, influenced by British styling of the fifties.
The razor sharp cut demonstrated by the Roy look is best achieved when using American Crew Precision Shave Gel. While a mixed application of Tea Tree Firm Hold Styling Cream and Forming Cream will give this style a detailed finish.
Since its pioneering launch into the men’s grooming industry 15 years ago, American Crew remains a leader in men’s hair styling with the release of annual collections that continue to inspire the men’s grooming industry.
The latest CREW collection is being taught nationally through Ozdare.
